My name is Boma Omubo-Pepple and I am pleased to warmly welcome you to our school website.

At Greenstone Schools, our overall objective is to provide our pupils a learning environment in which they are able to develop their personal potentials intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and morally. We are poised to ensure our pupils become open-minded, self-confident and socially responsible global citizens. This is perfectly summarised as Knowledge, Confidence and Integrity, which are the Core values of the school.

Our Mission is to provide a world-class education to its pupils. We will strive to develop lifelong learners with a passion for academic excellence, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Our pupils will stand for knowledge, confidence and integrity and they will positively contribute to a changing global society.

Our Facilities

We have well-equipped science laboratory where pupils are engaged in hands-on science and tech activities.

We also have an ultra modern ICT laboratory where the ICT capabilities of our pupils are developed.

Our classrooms are tiled and air conditioned, With good lighting and ventilation, the school is located in a serene environment, very conducive for learning.

Our Curriculum

Due to the growing demand for quality education in Nigeria, we will be running a blended curriculum. A blend of the Nigerian Curriculum for primary schools and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which will position our pupils as world class learners for any institution at home or abroad.

To guarantee highest teaching standards, all teachers at Greenstone Schools are armed with sophisticated pedagogic skills to meet global best practices. They are constantly supervised by officials of the State and Federal Ministries of Education, and other global agencies concerned with International Education in Nigeria.

Meet the Head of School, Dr. (Mrs) Furo Weli

Dr (Mrs.) Furo Weli is a seasoned educator spanning over three decades. She is a graduate of Economics and Education from the University of Port-Harcourt and holds a Master’s and doctoral degrees in Sociology of Education from the University of Lagos. She also holds a diploma in Computer Information/Network Essential from Houston Community College, Texas, United States of America.

Dr Weli embodies the school’s mission of knowledge, confidence and integrity. She is passionate about developing well-rounded children with character and self-confidence. She began her teaching career as a student teacher at the Federal Government College Port-Harcourt and served as the Head Teacher at The Learning Place Lekki, Lagos. As an educational researcher, she has worked extensively on children’s academic achievement and social adjustment. Upon completing her doctoral degree, her life-long passion for education has led her to focus on improving the academic success, emotional and social well-being of all pupils under her care. She believes this can be achieved through working in synergy with the parent community as well as her team of staff.

She has written several articles for both National and International Journals including the Association for Sociologist of Education Nigeria, Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, International University Kampala, Uganda and Chapters in Books. She is currently a member of the Association of Sociologist of Education of Nigeria (ASEN), Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Nigeria, American Sociological Association (ASA) U.S.A. She has also served as a member of the Strategic Planning Team of the American School of Paris, France.

Her faith in God, service to God, humanity and love for family fuels her daily life.

She is married and a mother of five (5) successful young adults.
